Welcome to Kajiado Children's Home. Our Purpose is the relief of need and the advancement of education in accordance with Christian principles, in particular for the benefit of orphaned children suffering the effects of social and economic deprivation living in Kenya. There are eighty plus children being cared for by the home from four years old and upwards.
The home is situated in the Rift Valley region of Kenya at Kajiado which is about 75 kms due south from Nairobi. The Maasai people in this area are desperately poor; their wealth is in their cattle and goats. Climate change has meant that much less rain has fallen in recent years and many have lost all or most of their stock. Recent rains have improved the situation. The children are orphaned by loosing their parents to accidents, bad health or HIV/Aids. Their extended families are not able to care for them. We take in children from the Kajiado district which is about the same area as Wales.

The Kajiado Children’s Home was opened by the Vice-president of Kenya. The main two storey dormitory is constructed from locally mined and dressed stone. Other buildings on the site have large water storage tanks underneath, which collect rain when it comes or the water that has to be purchased.
